Introduction

TradeTech is a wholly New Zealand owned company.  The business has operated since 1986 as a nationwide supplier of electronic components, production solutions, and electronic spare parts.  TradeTech has set the industry standard for service and quality, and has won industry service awards a number of times.
 

TradeTech’s business comprises three complementary divisions:

1. The Parts Division supplies components, parts, accessories, cables, connectors, power supplies and electronic finished products - primarily to the electronic repair technician. When the repair technician services a customer's TV or video, after establishing what is wrong, he orders a part from TradeTech.  Our team takes the order, pick the stock from the warehouse, and dispatch it to the customer, by same-day or overnight delivery.

2. The ProLink Audio Video Division which has grown along with incredible advances in A/V technology. TradeTech now supplies leads, cables, connectors, distribution systems, speakers and brackets to installers both large and small, wholesalers and the general public throughout New Zealand.

3. The Logistics Division which provides logistic support and distributes parts for The Warehouse, LG and Philips.

 

History of the Business

Grant Holmes, a grass roots technician from the North Shore who worked within the television and video repair industry, founded TradeTech in 1986. He saw the opportunity to support the service repair industry by providing a wide range of parts, delivered on time to anywhere in New Zealand.

 

Ownership of the Business

In August 2001 the business was sold as a going concern to brothers Roger and Greg Fulton.  Now in 2013, Roger has retired, Greg has decided to focus on Manufacturing wire looms and electrical products from Fero Limited, and TradeTech has been purchased by Alan Figgins.  Alan had previously worked alongside Roger & Greg as a business consultant for about eight years.

Alan intends to expand both the breadth and depth of products supplied by TradeTech, and by the expansion of the successful logistics business.
